Did you overdo it on the holiday eating this year? (and by that I mean Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and anything else in between!)

I know I certainly did.

It happens to the best of us.

And it also happens to get the best of us! One second you tell yourself that you are just going to have a few pieces of Halloween candy; then you blink and realize that it’s New Year’s Eve and you went a little bit beyond just a few Reese’s peanut butter cups and added in increased alcohol consumption, a few extra plates at Thanksgiving, and a dozen too many sugar cookies for Christmas! What in the world happened??

You enjoyed yourself. And that’s OK!

But it is also time to get back into practicing the healthy habits that make you feel way better about yourself.

This 31 Day Detox Challenge is designed to help you reclaim that sense of control over your health that you had before all the Holidays. It has 3 specific components to it.

#1 No Alcohol

Alcohol might be one of the worst offenders. It negatively impacts your sleep, weight loss hormone production, muscle building hormone production, mood, energy, and waistline!

Instead of drinking alcohol, we will be replacing it with 100oz of water per day! This will help jumpstart your metabolism again leaving you feeling more energetic and lighter on your feet!

#2 No Added Sugars

Look on the nutrition label of whatever you are getting ready to buy and if it has any added sugars stay away from it!

Instead, consume natural sugars from plenty of fruits and vegetables!

Excessive sugar intake is linked to not only extra fat storage, but also to chronic inflammation, cognitive impairments, cancer, skin aging, and heart disease!

#3 Sweat it Out!

Breaking a sweat (and I mean sweating to the point of looking like you just got rained on) is a great way to flush out toxins in the body, improve weight loss, boost your immune system, uplift your mood, and increase the quality of your skin!

For this challenge, we are going to sweat it out at least 3 days per week using cardio, hot yoga, weight lifting, or sauna according to your abilities.
